Jae D. Seo is a New York-based sound designer/composer. Intermingling his Korean heritage with the vibrancy of the city is what inspires him to create unique works. He explores and expands boundaries of creativity by combining acoustic live music and electronic elements in a variety of fields including film, motion design, video games, and sound installation.

Jae was awarded the 2018 Carl Kanter Prize of Orchestral Writing, and received the Deolus Husband Scholarship for Composition. In 2019, he was Composer-in-Residence with the I-Park Foundation Inc. Jae completed his second Master’s degree in Screen Scoring at New York University and received his first Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Classical Composition at Manhattan School of Music.
